The Rosa family upholds the traditions of their respected matriarch, Doña Rosa Real Mateo de Nieto , a master ceramic artisan responsible for innovating the polished aesthetic, which has become iconic of the black clay pottery vessels and objects of San Bartolo Coyotepec, Oaxaca.
